The Tradelog Discipline Score — what it measures, and how to improve it
Your win rate lies. Your discipline score doesn't. A breakdown of the 5 signals we watch and how each one shifts a full-time trader's monthly P&L.
Every closed trade in Tradelog contributes to a discipline score between 0 and 100. Here's the recipe.
1. Stop-loss adherence (30%) — did you exit at your pre-declared risk? Every SL widened after entry drops points.
2. Overtrading factor (20%) — sessions with more than 5 trades under 20 minutes each are penalised. Screen-based revenge shows up here.
3. Session alignment (15%) — trades that fall outside your declared session (e.g. London-only) count against you.
4. Risk-reward realised (20%) — the ratio of average winner to average loser. Anything under 1.0 is a red flag.
5. Rule streak (15%) — consecutive days without a rule break.
Improve one dimension at a time — most traders gain 25 points inside two weeks just by tightening SL adherence.
